María Pita will welcome CERVH participants again

On the morning of today, Tuesday, October 4, the official presentation of this new edition of the RIAS ALTAS HISTORICAL RALLYE took place at the A Coruña Provincial Council.

With the representation of the Xunta de Galicia, the Diputación de A Coruña and the municipalities of Aranga, Betanzos, Irixoa and A Coruña, the eighth edition of the rally was presented. Germán Castrillón and Ernesto Rumbo as representatives of the Organizing Committee were in charge of breaking down all the details of the event, which once again manages to have an excellent list of entrants both in quality and quantity.

With a program of two stages, Friday and Saturday, in which the four timed sections that make up the itinerary will be covered twice. Sections with a lot of history and that remain unchanged compared to last year.

The great novelty lies in the return to the Plaza de María Pita as the starting and arrival point for the participants. The change of location, motivated by the Spanish-German summit that is being held this week in the city, has meant that this emblematic place once again forms part of the race and hosts the start ceremony on Friday afternoon, and of course the awards ceremony and trophies on Saturday from 4:00 p.m.

The scrutineering will take place on Friday morning at Paseo del Parrote, where fans will be able to see the vehicles of all the participants up close. From there, they will enter the Plaza de María Pita where they will remain until 4:00 p.m., when the starting signal will be given.
