O Rallye Rías Altas Histórico naceu en 2015, organizado polo Clube Rallye Rías Altas no que colabouran dúas escuderías: Escudería Ferrol e Escudería Coruña, entidades con mais de medio século de historia e que durante este tempo organizaron distintas probas automovilísticas na Comunidade Galega..
The Rías Altas Rallye has been held for five years, all of which have qualified for the Spanish Historic Vehicle Rally Championship (CERVH) and in all of them it has been considered one of the best organized events. During these years, the number of participants has always been increasing, both from local teams and from the rest of the peninsula, breaking records of registration in the CERVH.
In 2020 the race will be held on October 2 and 3, maintaining in this edition the international character by being part of the European Rally Historic Tour, as last year
